Application Procedure

In order to align with our strategic plan and optimize our grants program, the Memorial Foundation for Children is requesting Letters of Intent (LOI) for grant funding. After the review of all LOIs, selected organizations will be invited to submit a full application for further consideration.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

The Mission of the Memorial Foundation for Children is to provide funds that support nonprofit organizations and their programs that focus on improving the lives of children from asset-limited households and under-resourced communities in the Richmond Metropolitan Area.

Please also carefully review all of our grant guidelines, specifically noting that the Foundation does not award grants for individual tuition, scholarships, and camperships.

How to Apply:

An opportunity to submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) to apply for grant funding will open in late January. All LOIs must be received online no later than 12:00 noon on March 1, or the next business day if the date falls on a Saturday or Sunday. Letters of Intent received after the deadline will not be considered.

After the foundation has completed its review of the LOI, all applicants will be notified by email in late-April and selected organizations will be invited to submit a full application for further consideration by June 1 (or the next business day if the date falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or federal holiday).
